OPPORTUNITIES FOR SERVICE

Finley's Mission and Outreach Committee has the privilege of providing our members with
opportunities to be a living witness of God’s love and grace through service on both a local and global level. We are also responsible for distributing the church’s benevolence funds.

Our current local outreach efforts include providing funds for Bibles given to 5th grade students at Stump Elementary, the Blessing Box (which provides an on demand resource of food for those in need), and providing food bags (the BackPack Program) for Stump and Stuarts Draft Elementary schools.

Upcoming service opportunities include partnering with Renewing Homes of Greater Augusta and Disciples Kitchen.

Annual donations are given to a number of organizations including the Clothes Closet, SD
Rescue Squad, SD Fire Department, Staunton Augusta Church Relief Association (SACRA), the Salvation Army, and the Valley Mission. We also seek to support the Waynesboro Area Refuge Ministry (W.A.R.M.) and Love, Inc.

In addition to financial support we have also assisted by providing dinner for the cold weather ministry offered through W.A.R.M. we support and participate in Love, INC's "Change Your Life" classes.

On a global level, we support Freedom Christian School, a part of the Freedom
International Ministries
in the Dominican Republic. We are in the planning process of
sponsoring a child to attend this school.

"Truly I tell you, just as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to me." -- Mat 25:45
